I'm due in 3 weeks and oh decided he doesn't like any of the names we had for our baby girl.
I really like classic, vintage names like Vivienne, Helena, Clara, Eleonor. He said he would like a name starting with L or A. Anything starting with El should be fine as well (but he doesn't like "nor" in eleonor). If anyone has any suggestions would be great as I'm going mad here.
My oh is Muslim, it doesn't have to be Arabic name but it would be advantage.
My nieces name is Lily so can't be too similar.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you x

I have an Eleanor. My husband is Muslim too, and his family like the fact that the 'nor' sounds like the Arabic word 'noor', meaning light. They say her name sounds like God's light because the 'Ella' part is a bit like 'Allah'. Maybe convince your DH this way Grin

What about Olivia? Quite traditional. You could call her Liv/Livy for short.

nellyflora · 06/03/2016 16:14

Ellen no nor sound and can be Nell?

LionWings · 06/03/2016 06:52

I'm surprised Ava hasn't been mentioned

All of the names are great. It just me I just really liked the idea of calling my daughter vivi (vivienne) or nell (Helena or Eleonor).
So far I like Abigail, Adele, Adaline, Lavinia, Ellena, Lydia.
I literally feel my brain scramble ; (
