Makes me think of Vermicious Knids.

squoosh · 04/03/2016 12:48

Well they're certainly very cute little gluttons Purple.

WutheringFrights · 04/03/2016 12:32

There were 20 Enids born in 2014.
I love delving into the ONS baby names info.
The year my DS was born there were only 3 other boys named the same...

PurpleDaisies · 04/03/2016 12:22

squoosh They are really friendly and will sit happily on your lap for ages (if you bribe them with food). Considering they are so small they make a huge amount of squeaking noise when the fridge opens, carrier bags rustle and any chopping happens. Then they appear like meetcsts at the front of their hutch expecting feeding. Guinea pigs are fantastic pets.

squoosh · 04/03/2016 12:18

They're gorgeous Purple, such cute little pink ears. I'd love to give them a cuddle but do they bite?

DarkBlueEyes · 04/03/2016 12:17

No. Don't like old lady names! I see Ena Sharples in my head...

Philoslothy · 04/03/2016 12:15

I like it.

PurpleDaisies · 04/03/2016 12:11

My Enid's sisters are called Mabel and Betsy. Here they all are...

Where has this wave of Enid love come from?!

Only1scoop · 04/03/2016 12:08

Love love love it.

Chorltonswheelies422 · 04/03/2016 12:07

I love it - huge Enid Blyton fan.

WutheringFrights · 04/03/2016 12:04

Love it!
It's individual enough without being weird...

Sophronia · 04/03/2016 12:01

Enid's sisters would be called Bertha and Gertrude.

Churchillian · 03/03/2016 23:58

I know a very cute 3 year old Enid - it really suits her

villainousbroodmare · 03/03/2016 23:56

When I was small, I misread the signature-style author's name on Blyton's books as Gnid! Grin
Not as bad as Gnid but pretty bad imo.
I do love Ines though.

Mynd · 03/03/2016 23:08

Love Enid!

DontKillMyVibe · 03/03/2016 21:05

Whilst it automatically makes me think of Blyton there is something about it that I really like. It's a well known name that isn't overused but is nice. Also like Ines, Edith and Edie as others have suggested.

thebiscuitindustry · 03/03/2016 20:51

Not keen on girls names ending in "id", they sound a bit harsh (I don't like Astrid or Ingrid either).

I like some of the other names from the same era though, such as Elsie and Edie.

Jesabel · 03/03/2016 20:50

So ugly. But then I do like Maude.

cally0 · 03/03/2016 20:49

Ha thank you for your replies and your honesty!! Mixed reaction so far, and I think more dislikes than likes!

I like it and like Edith too.
Definately due a revival.

AmysTiara · 03/03/2016 20:46

Eek I'm sorry but it'sone of the ugliest sounding names ever. I would be changing my name as soon as possible if i was called Enid

PurpleDaisies · 03/03/2016 20:46

One of my guinea pigs is called Enid. I'm not sure I like it for a human.
