Betsy and Lila

Is Lila to faddy? I think it sounds quite pretty but wonder if people would struggle with getting it right, lee-la, Laila, Lil-a instead of Lie-la

And Betsy- I never use to look but all of a sudden find it quite nice, hubby thinks it sounds like a dogs name.

I like both. Lila is on my girls list.
Not as keen on Betsy - I can't imagine being an adult called Betsy... Cute for a little girl though.

Lila is a gorgeous name. I would assume it''s pronounced 'lie-la' too. If you put an 'h' on the end - Lilah - would that help to hammer home the correct way to say it, do you think?

Betsy is quite pretty, but maybe a little nicknamey and cutesy?

Lila is great. Some people will pronounce it Leela, who cares, just correct them and they'll remember next time.

I don't like Betsy at all.

Lila is nice but I thought it was Lee-la. If you want an unambiguous Lie-la, I'd spell it Lyla.

Lila is lovely, I would pronounce it lie-la as you would.

Betty is just a nickname for Elizabeth.

I like both. I'm surprised Lila isn't more popular while names like Lily and Isla are everywhere.

Our dog is called Betsy Blush (border terrier)

Lila is nicer, DD has one in her class who's a very sweet wee girl!
