I love your names. Very similar to mine list. We actually went for one of the girls names on your list for our 3 month old. The only names I'm not so keen on are Quinn and Buster!

Hi seeking so happy this baby is a precious miracle for you and love your naming style. Comments about names being "hideous" or comparing them to reptiles are just so immature and not worth considering!

I love Phoebe, Aiya and Willa from your girls and Rex, Jude and Rafferty from boys- all 3 of those are on my DS list...Rex probably winning as its strong but cheeky.

ddeemummy · 19/02/2016 06:30

Scarlett for girl, but biassed as my eldest daughters name Smile

Boys I like Leo best, although im liking Tate aswell my daughter plays with a boy called it at nursery and its deff grown on me

Seekingmiracles · 19/02/2016 06:06

Manic- Aiya has Arabic roots. Not that I have. As far as I'm aware it means miracle. Someone I knew went through years of fertility treatment then finally had her little girl - Aiya (eye-ah). This baby really is a miracle for us too so I've always remembered the name.

I've never heard of the name Aerin before, but I've fallen in love with it! Very pretty :) Everly, Lenni (Lennon) and Quinn have been on my shortlist for a while as well so I would definitely agree with those names. Kitt and Nate are my favourite for boys from your list. Good luck!

autumnmoon · 18/02/2016 23:30

manicinsomniac · 18/02/2016 23:15

Girls
Everly - really like it
Edie - like it but would use Eden or Edith as a full name
Aiya - never heard this. Is it Eye-uh? Not overly keen I don't think.
Aerin - like it
Phoebe - like it
Lila/Lilah - quite like it
Maggie - really dislike this, especially as a standalone. Margaret is ok.
Amber - really like it
Tallulah - not keen
Leni - this doesn't seem like a name at all to me. Nickname for Helena?
Quinn - like it
Scarlet - it's ok
Willa - it's ok
Erin - really like it

Boys
Brody - really like it
Kitt - not keen. Maybe as a nn fro Christopher
Leo - it's ok.
Buster - not keen
Zac - like it. Prefer Zachary.
Nate - don't like this but love Nathaniel. Never known Nate as standalone
Tate - unsure. I think I quite like it.
Jude - it's ok
Rex - dislike this
Rafftery - really like it. Rafi is cute too.

I would choose Everly or Amber and Brody or Rafferty

W21m22 · 18/02/2016 20:47

Love Edie, cute but ages well too! Love Nate and Tate. Save Buster for if and when you get a dog ;) x

Seekingmiracles · 18/02/2016 20:06

Never heard of Quim for a vagina...! CANNOT use Quin now! Blush

OP posts:
unicornthong · 18/02/2016 19:57

Quim is slang for vagina, Quinn isn't! Grin

IsEatBedThyme · 18/02/2016 19:24

I like Edie, Phoebe, Lila, Maggie, Amber, Brody, Leo, Jude

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 18/02/2016 19:14

Oh never heard of that before. Idoit Could be a regional or national thing though.

Idoitforthelove · 18/02/2016 18:48

Am I the only person that thinks Quinn is another word for a vagina?! I keep seeing it on here as a 'lovely' name 😳 IT'S A VAGINA!

ILiveForNachos · 18/02/2016 18:24

I LOVE your girls list. It's nearly identical to the one I have which is now a wish list as my OH doesn't really like any of them.

Love
Maggie
Willa
Edie
Quinn
Lila

We're having a girl but if was a boy I'd love;
Kit
Nate
Jude
Rafferty

Also love Finn, Toby and Tate.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 18/02/2016 17:48

Everly. Brothers. Not a bad association though, but I'd just asumme you or your DP were a fan. Lovely name as well.
Edie. No I don't like it. No reason. Just not to my taste.
Aiya. Very pretty
Aerin. No. Plus I think people would have trouble with the pronunciation which would just be a source of annoyance
Phoebe. It's okay
Lila it's okay
Maggie. Yes very cute, but I'd put Margaret on her BC.
Amber. No. Makes me think of Amber leaf tobacco
Tallulah. Yes. Plus Tally or Lula would be a good nn.
Leni. It's okay, but prefer Lena. More Sophisticated
Quinn. Lovely.
Scarlet. No it's awful
Willa. Gorgeous
Erin. Very bland and unimaginative. Says me with the most boring name in the world.....ClareGrin.

Brody. Chavvy.
Kitt. Yes but why add confusion with the needless extra T.
Leo. It's okay.
Buster. I think it's cute.
Zac. No it's awful.
Nate. Yes but would put Nathan on his BC
Jude. Is gorgeous but prepare for people asking is it after the song of Jude law. Again not a bad association.
Rex. No unless you're having a puppy.Grin
Rafferty. No

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 18/02/2016 17:18

By common I meant overly popular, not 'common'

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 18/02/2016 17:15

Girls
Everly - god no
Edie - nice, bit dated now (old lady chic early noughties style)
Aiya - I know it's a name but to me it looks like a wishy washy collection of vowels. Also nanny in Hindi
Aerin - go for Erin without silly spelling
Phoebe - nice
Lila/Lilah - blah, also Kate moss
Maggie - not as a full name
Amber - don't love
Tallulah - stripper name
Leni - cute
Quinn - cute
Scarlet - definitely not, dated and common
Willa - cute
Erin - very common, blah

Boys
Brody - no
Kitt - spelt Kit, yes
Leo - nice
Buster - no way
Zac - not on its own, if you must, spell it Zack
Nate - ok, prefer nathanial as full name
Tate - ummm don't love it
Jude - lovely
Rex - cute
Rafftery - cute

Seekingmiracles · 18/02/2016 17:07

Good job I'm not a sensitive soul! Lol! Each to their own. There are so many names that I would call 'hideous' but are also pretty popular. Good job we're all different or we'd all have children with the same names.

OP posts:
Tiggeryoubastard · 18/02/2016 16:51

Sorry to merkin I missed Edie off my list, that's a lovely name, not sure how I missed it.

jezzathebezza · 18/02/2016 16:43

Shows are we all such different tastes, I much prefer your boys list! Smile They are far from "hideous"??

But love Phoebe from girls & from boys- Jude, Rex and Tate.

Tiggeryoubastard · 18/02/2016 16:37

Phoebe and Scarlet are fine. The other girls and especially the boys names are hideous.

Lottie2611 · 18/02/2016 16:36

Love kit. Like Maggie from your girls list

CatsCantFlyFast · 18/02/2016 16:29

We have an Edie. We have occasionally had "Eddie" when people pronounce it from written, but on the whole most people get it right first time
