Anna, Miranda, Charlotte or Cordelia?

Hi all

I'm hoping you can yank me out my brain fog - I'm 39 wks and need a name for impending DD. I thought I'd made a decision but I'm not sure what I like anymore!

I had previously settled on Anna - classic, simple, beautiful. But I have a niggling feeling it's a little bit dull and I could do better for my DD.

Other options are Miranda (DH very keen), Charlotte (I don't like the nicknames hugely) or Cordelia (ditto re nicknames). I also (think!) I like Catherine (Kitty), Henrietta and Antonia.

Should I stick with Anna or do you like any of my others better? Help!

Miranda

I don't think Anna is dull, i think it's lovely. The only problem you might have is the association with Frozen at the moment, if that bothers you.

I like Miranda too! It's pretty, but sensible, and not too popular at the moment.

Charlotte is alright, i like Lottie as the nn, but i don't like Cordelia at all.

Anna. My dh wouldn't allow it though - too dull!

I absolutely love Miranda and it's surprisingly unusual (I mean, I know two under the age of 11 but it doesn't even rank in the top 300 baby names. Maybe not even top 500, not sure)

Charlotte and Anna are lovely too but I would definitely choose Miranda.

Miranda. It's so pretty.

Dd2 was going to be Anna and I love it but we knew two friends with Annas and so decided not to go for it. I do think it's a perfect name though.

Anna is beautiful

I love Miranda.

Miranda ~ fab name!

Second choice would be Antonia, with Tonya for nn.

There are so many Charlottes and Katherines already and with the Royal link there will be many more, Henrietta is nice but don't like Etta or Henny as nn.

I have a Charlotte. It's often criticised on here for being boring but I love it. Lots of opportunity for nicknames though - Charlie, Lottie, Lotte. Her twin calls her Dot as well.

Miranda!
