Finn / Finley / Finlay have Gaelic roots.

Buzz can be short for Busby, which also has Scottish origins.

Buzley is a surname but it would be a bit, well, odd for a first name.

Your partner doesn't like Charles or James. He is presenting you with a patently ridiculous comedy name, so that you will then be relieved and look favourably on the name he actually wants.

You may as well ask how is it different to Pug/Pugzley.

If you call your child Pugzley it will certainly be his name but why would you want to give them a comedy name like Pugzley or Buzley?

Finn is a real name as is Finley. Buzz is a nickname and Buzley sounds like the name of a cartoon bee.

No. Give him a proper name. You can call him Buzz as a family nickname, but don't call him Buzley. It's a cartoon name.
