It's verrrry early days. I'm only 8 weeks pregnant so we have plenty of time. But I'm at work and bored.

DP and I both love Megan and Emily

I think we'd like to go for Grace as a middle name. I also love Amelia and DP likes it too, but Megan and Emily seem to be the ones that stand out for both of us right now.

Surname is very similar to Collins if it helps.

We have boys names but, having two boys already, the list isn't quite as long as the girls.

I like Megan, but prefer Emily Grace has a nice sound to it.

Kim82 · 16/02/2016 16:24

Love Megan. It is dd2's name (I wanted to use it for Dd1 but ex didn't like it, luckily dh did!). Her name is Megan Lucy and she gets called Meg a lot which I also love.

scottishegg · 16/02/2016 16:19

My daughters name is Megan Emilia Grace xx

ABitAsleep · 16/02/2016 16:05

I like Emeline or Emmy, just as a bit of a change to Emily.

Megan is nice.

I agree that Amelia is very popular at the moment, so your child may well be one of several in her class. My name was the most popular the year i was born and i hated it growing up, purely becuase there were so many other girls with my name. Although the name is nice enough, it just felt very common, never very personal to me. I was just "one of the insert name here's".

I so rarely have an opportunity to say this on a Baby Names thread:

They are all lovely names in any combination.

Personally I'd call her Megan Amelia 'Collins' and then she could have Mac as an alternative nick name. Grin

Should say Megan is great; feminine and strong x

cheekstime · 15/02/2016 12:58

How about Amelie rather than emily also I think nicker than amelia, think amelia sounds a bit bossy, gosh knows why x

PunkAssMoFo · 12/02/2016 21:42

Megan.
Or Grace as first name.

Emily is fairly dull & Amelia a bit 'of the moment'.

MyBigFatGreekYoghurt · 12/02/2016 21:18

Emily

DramaAlpaca · 12/02/2016 21:18

I like Emily Grace best.

I like Meg, but I'm not keen on Megan.

cornishglos · 12/02/2016 21:12

Megan

Botchit · 12/02/2016 18:16

Emily is a sweet name, but a little boring. Megan is okay but not very interesting either. Prefer Amelia, but there are lots of them around age 10. Grace is a lovely name but again fairly popular, although that's not a problem in itself.

Sophronia · 12/02/2016 18:12

Emily Grace. Megan feels a bit 90s/00s.

Ilovenannyplum · 12/02/2016 17:49

My sister is an Emily and she is without doubt, the nicest, kindest person that I know Smile

thebiscuitindustry · 12/02/2016 17:43

Emily, Megan and Grace are all lovely names. You can't go wrong.

Cel982 · 12/02/2016 17:36

Emily Grace Collins flows very well. But they're both lovely names.

RiverTam · 12/02/2016 16:47

I love Meg but not so keen on Megan.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 12/02/2016 16:41

I like Megan best of all but I don't think it goes well with Grace.
Not at all fond of Emily, but Emily Grace goes very well
Amelia Grace is gorgeous.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/02/2016 16:25

Emily Grace

mrsschu · 12/02/2016 16:21

Prefer Megan to Emily. I know so many Emily's, I'm pretty bored by it. Indeed I know about 3 Emily Grace's, all under 5 years old. Megan nn Meg is nice. Amelia - not keen, although I love Amelie. Strangely I don't know any Amelia's or Amelie's.

Also, congratulations!

Error404usernamenotfound · 12/02/2016 15:54

Both nice names; Emily's a very pretty name, while Megan is stronger, IYSWIM. Grace flows much better after Emily as a middle name

Walshie123 · 12/02/2016 15:47

Go with Emily Grace :)
