Maddox, Ajax, Jax, Albie,
Just a few I quite like, last name is Turner :)

If you like an X name, why not Dexter then you could shorten to Dex? Or we have a friend with a nephew called Alexander which they shorten to Ax a lot of the time. All of that said, call your baby whatever you like. Honestly, give it a few weeks and people will just associate your baby with the name and nothing else X

Clarathemagnificent · 11/02/2016 22:48

What about Alexander? Lots of nickname possibilities like Lex, Axel, Zander, Alex.

tellmeofthetime · 11/02/2016 22:40

Ajax ??? Seriously ?
Maddox is awful
Jax even worse

MissFlight · 11/02/2016 20:01

How about Alex or Max?

CultureSucksDownWords · 11/02/2016 19:58

Soooosie, Cif was called "Jif", Ajax is a powder cleaner and isn't available any more in the UK.

Chloeisobelle21 · 11/02/2016 19:51

I love Axel but it makes me think of Guns and Roses, I don't want people saying oh did you name him after Axel Rose. That would wind me up a treat. Otherwise it's a great name

I agree with others that Axel is a wonderful name.

Soooosie · 11/02/2016 16:24

Ajax cleaning product is now called cif I think?

Rex Jax and lex are all fab

FishOn · 11/02/2016 16:22

If you like those sort of names what about Brix?

Lightbulbon · 11/02/2016 16:22

What about Knox?

fluffypenguinbelly · 11/02/2016 16:19

Oh and I meant to say I like Axel! Think it's a great name.

BeautyIsTruth · 11/02/2016 16:13

I'm 28 and by no means a cleaning product expert but my immediate thought was, "Isn't Ajax a bathroom cleaner?" Jax is cute but I'd have it as a nickname for Jackson (or Jaxon if you must).

Maddox and Albie are okay.

Jackson maybe??? nn Jax
Ajax is a disaster
Maddox -- not my taste, but tollerable
Albie? Why? Albert maybe?

romanrainsalot · 06/02/2016 21:25

Trying to hard. Cleaning products and Dutch football team springs to mind. Maddox Taylor sounds like Mad dogs Taylor.

Sofiria · 06/02/2016 21:19

Sorry, I don't like any of them. Ajax is a cleaning product, Jax sounds like a Star Trek alien, I've never heard Maddox used except as a surname, and Albie is cute for a baby but not a grown man.

Albert? Jack?

I did like it but I'm put off now I know it's a cleaner brand haha!

I really like Ajax but mostly because I love the newer COD games. Grin

Jaxon or Maddox. I think Albie is quite twee & babyish tbh & all names ending in -bert are ugly so I wouldn't use it as a short for Albert.

MissLiv · 05/02/2016 13:16

Not keen on any... Albie is okay (better as a NN for Albert) Jax is better as Jaxon, IMO... Maddox would be next and the cleaning product last...
