30 weeks pregnant with DD2 and DH and I have been trying to decide on names.
Originally he wanted Nixie, which is a German, but I vetoed it on grounds that together with his surname it sounded like a porn star name.
Our DD1 has an unusual first name (DH prefers unusual names and this one struck a chord as it can be found in several cultures and in each instance we loved the meaning behind the name) coupled with a traditional second name that means a lot to me as is my DM name ( who died several years ago, when I was in my early 20's and long before DC were on the horizon).
We have been really struggling to pick names that we both love for DD2 and also complement our DD1 name.
Initially I loved Xanthe but for some reason it doesn't seem quite right.
Last night we bandied some names around and we are thinking of the following:
Elodie Violet
What do you think? Happy for any suggestions also as other than above we seem to be going round in circles each vetoing the others alternatives!
