Is it pronounced dervla. Like in that drama with the priest?

Katie Liberty and Dearblah are really different. I would go for Dearblah of you have a connection to it

YeOldeTrout · 31/01/2016 19:31

Ah, like Dervla Murphy. But she spelt it exaclty like that.
Liberty is fine, too.

BikeRunSki · 31/01/2016 19:31

Dearbhla

I'm English, living in England, and I know how to pronounce it.

TheHumanSatsuma · 31/01/2016 19:31

If you are in Ireland then Dearbhla, out of Ireland no..she will spend the rest of her life explaining.

I do like Liberty though.

AuditAngel · 31/01/2016 19:30

I love Irish names, but never know how to pronounce them, some Scots name have me confused too.

I love Liberty, but it depends if you want a local name or not.

I love love love Dearbhla. Alas, I'm second generation, in the UK, otherwise I would have that name if dc3 turns out to be a girl. Lovely. No competition at all between it and Liberty.

EmpressOfTheVulvaCupcakes · 31/01/2016 19:30

Dearbhla. I'm guessing it's pronounced like Dervla Kirwan?

HelenaJustina · 31/01/2016 19:29

Dearbhla

TheCatsMeow · 31/01/2016 19:29

It's pronounced "Dervla", not Dear-Blah...

TheCatsMeow · 31/01/2016 19:28

Dearbhla! Smile

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 31/01/2016 19:28

Dear-blah?

YeOldeTrout · 31/01/2016 19:27

ZiggyFartdust · 31/01/2016 19:27
