I like it - just be aware quite popular at the moment but if you love it then go for it.
Personally I'd use a longer version eg Eleanor or Gabriella and then Ella as nn but nothing wrong with Ella on its own.

It's pretty common I think I know about 6 ellas under 5 yo
I do like the name though but be prepared for her to be 'Ella S' for example at school as there will be a few

I like Ella, I'd personally use Eleanor and have Ella for short just to give her the choice when she's older

All the Ellas I know are great, strong women so that's what I associate the name with.

Ellie-Mae or suchlike would be cutesy, Ella is fine.
