Alice or Cara

Expecting dd2 within the next week or so (due 31st) so we've been trying to filter down our names list.

We like Emilia, but would probably use it as a middle name with either Alice or Cara. So...

Alice Emilia
or
Cara Emilia

Which do you prefer?

Cara nice too, it's Irish for friend.

Am not a fan of the name Cara but I always have to stop before I say it and think because my natural tendency is to say Ciara. Prefer Alice

Cara Emilia. I love Cara and think Alice is meh sounding (also always think; Alice, Alice, who the fuck is Alice...).

Alice, I think goes better with the second name. Two vowels together sound off to me.

I really like both. I think I prefer Cara. I think Carla is a nice name too, not sure if you'd consider it.

BooAvenue I hope you don't shop in Boux Avenue, now that is common. Cara, not so common.

OP I like both names equally.

Cara! It's my DD 18's name - conceived on Italian honeymoon Smile - so we chose it because it means dear or lovely. Like Sunshine says, Cara Emilia - it's beautiful and elegant.
