Help choosing an indian baby girl name

We need help in choosing a Indian name for our baby girl. We have a shortlist but would love to hear anyother names too . here is our shortlist

Samaira
Maya

@ WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant - Ruhi means spiritual

@goldglittershitter – Dhara is not pronounced as Tara

@NHKX2 – our main critieria was that the name should be easy for everyone to pronounce it

Does ease of pronunciation for a non-Indian person factor into your decision? If so, I'd go for (in this order):

Samaira (I've also seen Samira, which is also lovely)
Maya
Rhea
Dhara

Maya is lovely though quite popular if that bothers you. I love the sound of Samaira (not heard of that before) and Reya is quite nice, too.

I would avoid Urvi and Mukta as the pronunciations don't sound nice in English.

Rhea and Maya are very popular in my area of UK- that may be something you like, or something you wish to avoid.
I also like Priya, Gayatri, Usha, Nina, Archana, Leilani as well.

The meaning of the name would also be important to me (though I'm afraid I don't know any of the meanings of the ones I've listed- there are lots of Indian name translation sites on the web though).

My indian friend has two beautiful DDs called Nisha & Tara (is this how ur Dhara is pronounced? If so I'd totally go for that!) . Lovely names anyway but chosen as were sort of mainstream in both English and Indian?

I've always loved Ambika (sp) n Nina as well.

Dhara aside, of ur list I like Rhea best.

I'm not familiar with a lot of the names on your list but I do like Maya & Samaira.
I'd avoid Aarna because I assume it's pronounced like the sister in frozen.
My fave current Indian name although I do know 3 under 2, and DD1 has another in her reception class is Simran.
Also popular amongst Indian community although not sure it's an Indian name is Aria
