My name is Marielle.

I think that on balance id have preferred Mariella.
My name gets shortened to Maz, not Ella or Elle but then I am in my thirties. I don't know any thirty year old Elle/Ellie's, plenty of five year old ones though

It's just a short form of Maria.

Millions of them in Italy.

They are all between 35-50.

I think its pretty, but don;t shorten it to Ella or Ellie as that's way overdone now.
