3 Williams in my close family. None have ever been called Willy.

Kitla · 19/01/2016 07:37

Yeah, I've been teaching for almost 20 years and must have taught hundreds of Williams in that time. Never taught a willy though, and never seen a child teased because of it. Other names mind....

AliciaMayEmory · 19/01/2016 06:50

William

Raines100 · 19/01/2016 06:46

William, by a mile. I wouldn't worry about bullying over 'Willy' thing. The name has been in the top 10 for a while now. Half the school will be called William. That bully's going to need a pretty large pair to take on all those kids.

Justnapping · 18/01/2016 18:46

William!!

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 18/01/2016 16:06

I love Isaac (and also wouldn't shorten it).

Lebkuchenlover · 18/01/2016 14:53

Just because one William hasn't been teased with Willy doesn't mean that others might not... Little schoolboys can be pretty silly!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/01/2016 14:52

William is an excellent name. Lots of famous people from history with the name William and plenty for every one of the common shorter versions. Never been out of the top 100 so won't date. Easy to spell, easy to pronounce and it's been used so long that everybody knows how to do both those things. An absolute classic.

mrsschu · 18/01/2016 14:45

Isaac. But NOT nn Zac, Isaac is lovely on its own. For me William is very, very bland and ordinary.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/01/2016 13:28

I have a late teen William - Will, never been bullied with 'Willy' , a non issue.

Sophronia · 18/01/2016 13:27

William

Isaac can be shortened to Ike as well as Zac

Lebkuchenlover · 18/01/2016 13:26

Isaac is nice but don't like Sac or Zac as a nickname at all. I'd just stick to the full name, Isaac.

William is quite nice too but the Will/Willy teasing potential would put me off.

KoalaDownUnder · 18/01/2016 13:05

William nn Will

Isaac is lovely but I don't love the nn Zac.

Bluesand1 · 18/01/2016 13:01

Thanks! Not a fan of Willy. Open to bullying??

toffeeboffin · 18/01/2016 12:54

Oh yeah, actually Zac Blush

toffeeboffin · 18/01/2016 12:54

Love Issac.

And it's cool because you can't shorten it.

RingUpRingRingDown · 18/01/2016 12:50

William

MumOfTheMoment · 18/01/2016 12:41

Think about nicknames - I know a couple of Isaacs and they get shortened to Issy and Eye-zee rather than Zac. William can be Will, Bill, Billy even Willy if you want Grin

Upthenoonoo · 18/01/2016 12:37

William without a doubt. Don't like Isaac at all.

iamEarthymama · 18/01/2016 12:36

Isaac! My Isaac is gorgeous!

Though I know a lovely William who always gets his full name, which suits him perfectly!

Why don't you wait until you see this little boy and then decide?

You will know when you see him. Smile

Herrerarerra · 18/01/2016 12:31

Hard to choose, both are lovely but William edges it for me - also love it shortened to Will or Billy.

Montsti · 18/01/2016 12:29

Definitely William which I love! Not keen on Isaac at all....I do like Zac though but nn. for Zachary...

TempsPerdu · 18/01/2016 11:59

Both nice. I'd go for William though as it's a bit more timeless.

Bluesand1 · 18/01/2016 11:39

5050!

William though.
