starsinyourpies · 17/01/2016 22:41

Don't do it!!!

CormoranStrike · 17/01/2016 19:27

Fern is very nice, ivy not so much, together - horrible, sorry

CJ1505 · 17/01/2016 11:33

Yes, Fern would be the middle name and no, I didn't have IVF... We are dropping Ivy and using Fern for the middle

I'd use Fern. Ivy's veeeery trendy now. I work in maternity and have come across several Ivys but never seen a Fern. Plus, Ivy is still a crotchety old lady name to me.

TabbyToes · 17/01/2016 10:20

Did you have fertility treatment to conceive? Cos she'll be Ivy F Surname. I have had IVF and spent a while thinking of related names which is why this jumped out at me...

pilates · 17/01/2016 08:21

Yes.

If I had to choose it would be Fern.

Dislike the name Ivy.

squoosh · 17/01/2016 03:58

It's absolutely fine assuming Fern is a middle name and day to day she'll just be Ivy?

mumofason · 16/01/2016 21:56

Too much. I love Ivy though.

villainousbroodmare · 16/01/2016 21:28

Too much. I prefer Fern.

timelytess · 16/01/2016 20:59

Ivy Leaf?
Leafy Fern?

iciclewinter · 16/01/2016 20:55

Ivy is a lovely name.

I don't like Fern.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 16/01/2016 20:40

Yes it's too botanical. Plus the names together don't even match. They're Lovely names in their own right but best kept separate.
I think I'd say Ivy is the prettiest

GracieGraives · 16/01/2016 20:35

I would say ivy.

happystory · 16/01/2016 20:28

She maybe Ferne?

happystory · 16/01/2016 20:28

Fern, I immediately think of Fern Cotton. Ivy so unusual these days and my great grandma's name so am not unbiased!

CJ1505 · 16/01/2016 20:20

Is Ivy or Fern nicer?

OP posts:
happystory · 16/01/2016 20:19

Yes

ThursdayLastWeek · 16/01/2016 20:19

I like both, but not together

mrsschu · 16/01/2016 20:17

Definitely...

SakuraSakura · 16/01/2016 20:13

Just ferne is lovely IMO.

lornathewizzard · 16/01/2016 20:09

I don't like Fern, and definitely not together.

pictish · 16/01/2016 20:08

Both are nice, but not together. I know an Ivy-Rose - which I think works better.

pictish · 16/01/2016 20:07

Yes.

SoWhite · 16/01/2016 20:04

Yeah, too much. Love Fern thought. Like the Fearne spelling better.
