Thoughts please..

I'm after a name that is not too unusual but at the same time not too popular.
Don't want Dd to be one of many at school or at work as I was, and still am.

OP posts:

Awful. So 90s. And not in an good way.

sarah2011 · 17/01/2016 05:08

I like it. My dd has a joyte ( jo tee) in her class and I think that's nice too

squoosh · 17/01/2016 03:56

I like Jodie.

Josephine is really ugly.

CaoNiMao · 17/01/2016 02:15

It's a 'mean girl' name, along with Nicola and Joanne. I've never met a nice one.

Soooosie · 16/01/2016 16:10

Josie as a nn for Josephine is nice. Jodie seems harder

ExitPursuedByABear · 16/01/2016 16:07

The only Jodie I know is a right caaaah.

Jodie Kidd on the other hand seems lovely.

TrinityForce · 16/01/2016 16:05

All the Jodies I knew growing up (late 80's/early 90's so loads of them) were all horrible bullies. chavs

agree with this, the Jodies I knew were horrible.
If you don't have that association with it though it's a nice name.

BikeRunSki · 16/01/2016 16:01

I don't particularly like it.

Nice, quite rare but very 80s sort of name to me, along the lines of Stacy?

nextusername · 16/01/2016 15:23

Personally I'm not that keen, but it's fairly unusual these days and there's nothing wrong with it.

y0rkier0se · 16/01/2016 14:21

I don't like it but I think that's skewered by every Jodie I know being not nice! I do however like Josie for something a little different Smile

Sophronia · 16/01/2016 14:16

I have a cousin Jodie aged 15, I think it's quite unusual nowadays.

ClaireeeJ15 · 16/01/2016 14:01

It's not to be rude - it's just her NN! Jode the Toad :)

kimlo · 16/01/2016 14:00

I really like it

Babymouse · 16/01/2016 13:58

It's a sweet name and not too popular.

I know one and one of her nicknames is Jojo and no one would dare call her toad so I don't think rude nn are inevitable.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 16/01/2016 13:54

Very different now. Nice name.

ClaireeeJ15 · 16/01/2016 13:48

I have a friend named Jodie - she is Jode or Toad...
