Girls list, inspired by the out-there threads atm

Some of the more out-there names discussed recently have inspired me to post my outrageous name lists.

I'm only 14 weeks, but musing. And probably not brave enough for most of them, as first names. But I am partial to a more interesting middle name.

These are my absolute fantasy lists. Which do you like, and which do you hate? And first name-middle name combinations that jump out as lovely?

Not rambling! Genuinely interested to hear your views on the names. I suppose I think that they are bold because I grew up in a sea of Melanies, Jessicas, Sarahs, Rachels and Rebeccas.

Willoughby Alan is lovely though do be careful with initials e.g if your surname starts with g he would be WAG if that bothers you!
Rocco Stellan is also a combination I like.

For girls Vera is beautiful. Could always use a longer name like Veronica (also nn Ronnie) or Verona.

Now I don't think that any of your names are particularly 'outrageous' as such. Outrageous to me is somthing more like Princess Crystaltips Beyonce. Briar and Bramble are a bit more like rabbit names to me but only as I have rabbits with those names. I love Coral and went to school with a wonderful Coral. June is my mother's name which I like but she hates it as all the kids at school used to sing 'June is busting out all over'. But I don't think kids know that song today. Alisstair, Rocco and Laurence are nice. Blaise is beautiful and I have taught a couple who were delightful. Allegra is quite a strong name (which is good) but I find Sorrel and Willoughby a bit 'wet' sounding. Sorry to ramble...

Not keen on Scarlett, grew up with a close friend with that name back when it was very unusual and now can't separate it from her. See her on occasion too, would be weird.

Ivy, Pearl, Violet, Ford, Rocco would be on my shortlist.

My Alan was my grandad. The most kind, gentle giant of a man. Easily one of the most positive influences in my life. Desperately sad when he died young. I'm going to have to use it as the middle name, aren't I?

I also do like Alan. I've known two Alan's who were lovely men - both very gentle.

I like that about Willoughby too. Interesting, but safe nickname. Like Benedict.

I like Allegra and LOVE Hero. I also quite like June, and Violet is pretty.

I like Willoughby from your boys list - literary and can be shortened Wink
