Neither, tbh - but Bailey is marginally better. There are lots of much, much nicer names.

I dislike them equally. That's just personal taste though. Surnames as first names really don't appeal. Neither is remarkably worse than the other. Both surnames, both unisex, same no of syllables, same ending. They're practically the same name.

I think it depends on the sex of the baby but they seem more like names for a pet.

I'm not hugely keen on either as I'm not a fan of names that sound like surnames

Having said that I much prefer Bailey to Riley (for a boy or girl)

Not keen. The 'naughty boy' in my dd's class is Bailey.
