I've just stumbled across the name Luna, and I think I'm totes in love with it.

What are people's opinion on it? It's not a name you hear very often!

I know a six year old Luna, I think she has Spanish heritage so possibly originates from there as a name?

I don't hate it, but it's a bit hippy for my taste. Also, I've known far too many dogs named Luna, so there's that association which others may not have.

Too close to lunatic for my liking.

There is an Irish film called 'Dancing at Lughnasa' and I think that was a pagan harvest festival.

My dh and I were literally just discussing which Harry Potter names would make it into the general population.

It isn't to my taste but if you love it go for it.

I like it. We know a baby Luna from playgroup and she is adorable. Not met any others though!

I like Luna, but do worry of the NN Lune lol, so stayed away from it
