Romeo or Paris

Not really dead set on these names but I really like them for now, it's for a boy, I'm currently leaning towards Paris but it changes by the day, opinions are also welcome.

@ RoseDaisy25 that's brilliant Smile I'm glad I'm not the only one that's considered naming their child Romeo and that your Nephew hasn't been burdened by it.

@Eastwest, He was such a coward but then Shakespeare's Romeo isn't much better in my opinion Grin

I mean the connotations of Paris are: vain, cowardly, promiscuous, a guest who cheats and betrays his host and abducts his wife, leading to a massive war that kills thousands of people...!
What about Hector instead if you want something from the Iliad?

Saying it's awful isn't really going to change my mind but @SpendSpendSpend however you have some good points, I know 2 Male Paris' both European, I think it's like the Name River, used more for girls but can be used for both genders.

Romeo jokes are an issue and one of the reasons, I haven't 100% latched on to the name.

Having said all that, I'm not strongly set on either name and I'm just contemplating

Paris was a boy's name in Ancient Greek mythology. Paris was the bloke who allegedly ran off with Helen of Troy.

Sorry, I'm not keen. Unless you're a big Shakespeare fan in which case I could just about get it. If not, just no.
Paris is a capital city, not a child's name unless you're a huge Jilly Cooper fan

I always thought Paris was a girls name.

I also think that with a name like Romeo he will get the piss taken out of him for life.
