What is your all time favourite girls name that you didn't use.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Flora was my vetoed name for DD. But I love her name and I don't get the like the margarine comments I did whenever I mentioned flora

FattySantaRobin · 22/12/2015 23:28

Elizabeth is my all time favourite after DDs name. (Always said my DD would be Elizabeth and she very nearly was but I decided to name her after my mum instead, it was definitely the right decision, her name suits her)
Eleanor.

I only have 1 DD. She will stay the only girl.

Beatrice ( thanks MIL for ruining that ..beetroot ? )
Lilian ( doesn't go with our surname )

CorporeSarnie · 22/12/2015 23:18

Iris, Sylvie, Rosalind, Elizabeth, Tara, Lara, Anya were on my list for dc2, who turned out to be a boy. Funny how popular some of these are in this list!

dontpokethebear · 22/12/2015 22:55

We loved Evangeline, but it didn't sit right with our two sons names.

IHeartKingThistle · 22/12/2015 22:45

Hazel.

MouldyPeach · 22/12/2015 22:44

Elsie, Ellie, Eve, Effie.
All rejects from DDs. Now expecting another DD but having a hard time thinking of her name - so watching this thread with interest!

UninventiveUsername · 22/12/2015 22:44

Lily but everyone else seemed to go crazy for it in these last 5 years. I blame Harry Potter's mum.
Violet but I can never decide for sure that I definitely like it.
Same for Scarlet.
Lydia.. Dp thinks it's too close to chlamydia.
Elizabeth.
Sylvia - would call her Sylvie. Am surprised to see a couple of people have said this too.

I love DD's name. Would have loved to have had a sibling for her, but wasn't meant to be. Sad

Shamelessly placemarking

Purplehonesty · 22/12/2015 21:33

Katy and Lucy.

I couldn't use Katy as everyone round here drops their t's so she would have been kay ee and then a colleague used Lucy.

I had a boy anyway!

We have a cat called Lucy now :)
