What are your thoughts on this as a stand alone name?

Like Isabella but popularity puts me off and I don't LOVE it whereas Issie is a name that I've always imagined calling my daughter.

Is it too close to ISIS???

I vastly, vastly prefer it to Isabella or Isabel though (yawn). It's a sweet name.

Hmm, I'm not sure. It would probably grow on me.

As an alternative what about Ishbel, then you could call her Ishy? A friend's wee girl is called this and it's lovely.
