I like it. And I don't think it's ever been popular enough in the UK to be assigned to a class, so no, not chavvy. Go for it.

Tacky? Hmm I feel like it goes well with Darcy - I call her Darce a lot and would probably call him Code... Blush I can't really shorten Noah! (I love it though)

There will always be people that hate any name you choose. In the real world most people won't care.

Hate it, tacky and very American, not in a good way. I can imaging it being one of the nes screeched in supermarkets by parents.

Here in the US it's pretty trailer-trash. Automatically makes one think of Budweiser beer, camoflage attire, pickup trucks and such.
