I'm pg with dc#3. My boys have offered these suggestions. They are not names I've considered but I kind of like they are a bit different. I'm not letting them pick the name (ds' are 5&3... I barely let them pick their pants in the morning!) I just wanted your opinion on their suggestions.

Is Casper a bit posh? Is phoebe a bit twee?

I love Casper but not keen on Phoebe

Lottiedaydreambeliever2014 · 03/12/2015 18:25

I think of Casper as a name with foreign origins, not posh. I'm not keen. I quite like Phoebe but I know it's a bit of a marmite name.

hobitty · 03/12/2015 15:33

Casper is quite nice.

Dislike Phoebe, spelling looks strange/unintuitive and sounds like feeble.

Thetruthfairy · 03/12/2015 15:14

Both are lovely.

Bellejournee · 03/12/2015 14:20

Love Casper or Caspar. Friendly ghost is so old, no one under the age of 20 knows of it. Not so keen on Phoebe, not sure why though.

TillyTolly · 03/12/2015 14:16

Love Caspar and Casper (and also Caspian) and don't think it's posh at all. In fact, it's one of the best 'classless' names I can think of.

Not as keen on Phoebe but that may be because I grew up with so many of them and thinks it's a little cute.

ellenjames · 02/12/2015 20:22

I have a Phoebe and it's not very common around my area. Not sure on Caspar sounds more like a pets name to me, but if you like it that's all that matters Smile

Jw35 · 02/12/2015 20:18

I've heard of a kasper. His family are definitely not posh. Phoebe is ok but it is cute and I dislike Casper

celtictoast · 02/12/2015 20:12

I like both Caspar (with this spelling) and Phoebe.

Boredofthinkingofnewnames · 02/12/2015 19:16

Phoebe is massively popular here - I think it's the Friends generation having babies!

RiverTam · 02/12/2015 19:09

Don't like either, in fact I actively dislike Phoebe.

toffeeboffin · 02/12/2015 19:05

Love Caspar. Or Kaspar.

Do not like Phoebe (due to Friends)

villainousbroodmare · 02/12/2015 18:04

I like Phoebe. Not mad on Casper/Caspar.

zippyswife · 02/12/2015 17:59

Is phoebe a bit cutesy? I'm determined for a non-cutesy name. I don't think I've ever met one.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 02/12/2015 17:45

Love them both.
Casper does make me think of the ghost but that's not a bad thing.
I don't think Casper is that posh.
Phoebe is gorgeous!

SirChenjin · 02/12/2015 17:44

Not so keen on Casper but like Phoebe.

WingMirrorSpider · 02/12/2015 17:42

I prefer Caspar to Casper. I like it I think, and Phoebe is lovely too.

zippyswife · 02/12/2015 17:41

Kaspar with the K is actually really cool. We are definitely not polish though. Could an English person pull it off?!

Boredofthinkingofnewnames · 02/12/2015 17:30

I went to school with a Kaspar - he was polish and the spelling avoided the friendly ghost connotations. Love Phoebe.

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2015 17:10

I like Phoebe.
I don't like Casper.
