Tobias - like or loathe?

Obviously Toby for short. Also like Nicholas, Nic got short.

Nicholas is OK, but not as fab as Tobias.

I like it a lot, I prefer Tobias to Tobey.

Nicholas is lovey and quite rare now. My stepsons first name is Nicholas (16) and it is DS2 middle name.

DS2 was almost called Tobias, but we changed our mind and it's now his middle name

Completely irrational hate for the name as no connections or connotations for me. But what does my opinion matter! If you love it, got for it.

I teach a Tobias. I actually teach several. They're all Toby bar one whine have to call by his full name!

They're both beautiful names. Tobias is pretty popular at the moment but I haven't come across a baby Nicholas in a few years

It's fine. Kinda sweet.

A family member has just called her baby this though - they are calling him by the full version all the time - and I just keep forgetting it! It just falls out of my head! So for me personally it is literally not memorable!

I LOVE Tobias!!! I wasn't allowed it for ds Sad
