Elliott or Oliver?

His middle name is Russell (my dad's name) - I prefer Elliott Russell, but a lot of the family prefer Oliver Russell. I think Elliott looks better with Russell - they both have 2 double letters (that's why I want Elliott with 2 ts!) :)

So has Oliver tbf. It's DS2's middle name.

CheerfulYank · 15/11/2015 16:15

Elliott, it's always been on my lists. :)

Oysterbabe · 15/11/2015 16:10

I think Oliver is currently most popular boys name if that matters to you at all.

leoniethelioness · 15/11/2015 12:10

I like both. Oliver is more popular but Elliott has more than one spelling so each have their "downsides". Elliott is a bit more commonly used than Elliot.

CPtart · 14/11/2015 19:42

Oliver. More classic somehow.

Cake0rdeath · 14/11/2015 18:48

I have an Elliott-named after Elliott smith!

HelenF35 · 14/11/2015 05:14

Elliott. I'm feeding my 4.5 month old one right now. Far too many Oliver/Ollies!

BikeRunSki · 14/11/2015 03:44

Elliott, has the edge of being slightly unusual.

WongTobyWong · 14/11/2015 02:53

Both beautiful! You can't go wrong!

DeepBlueLake · 14/11/2015 01:55

Elliott by a country mile, it's my gorgeous DS2 name!

itsbetterthanabox · 13/11/2015 23:18

Elliot definitely. There are so many kids named Oliver now. It's way way too popular. Elliot is much nicer.

MrsBungle · 13/11/2015 23:02

Elliott for me.

Sunshine511 · 13/11/2015 23:01

I love Oliver, had it in mind for dd (didn't know the sex at the time) until I realised how popular it is. For that reason, my vote is for Elliot.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 13/11/2015 22:59

Elliot. It just conjures up a really well mannered and polite easy going little boy.

Raahh · 13/11/2015 22:43

Elliots are great. How ever many 't''s they have Grin

Whoami24601 · 13/11/2015 22:37

Another vote for Elliott - we have a 6mo one sleeping downstairs Grin

Raahh · 13/11/2015 22:30

Wonder- excellent choice- Elliot(t)s are great.

ashesandfire · 13/11/2015 22:28

Love Elliott. There are soooo many Ollies around.

Wondersicles · 13/11/2015 21:05

I love Oliver too and that will most likely be DS2, if I have another boy and if I go with Elliott (which I probably will) :)

Elliot

MitzyLeFrouf · 13/11/2015 20:41

Definitely Elliott. Oliver is a bit blah.

I'm also an Elliott Smith fan.

KondosSecretJunkRoom · 13/11/2015 19:34

Not a big fan of Oliver, I'd go with Elliott which is lovely.

Raahh · 13/11/2015 19:30

I have a 12 year old Elliot, so definitely biased (one t thoughGrin). I like Oliver too, but not as much.
