Cordelia or Robyn - just can't decide.

Please help! We just can't decide. What do people prefer? We'd probably use Cordy day to day for Cordelia.

They are very different names IMO, Cordelia is frilly and a bit pretentious sounding, Robyn is simple and unisex.
I think Cordelia is a bit marmite. I am not a fan, sorry. I think Cordy is a bit odd too.
I like Robyn.

Cordelia is a right mouthful IMO

You have to accept that people will shorten your children's name, so it depends how you feel about nn Cordy or Delia

I really dislike Robyn/Robin for a boy or girl. It just sounds so bleuh. Cordelia is ok, if a little bit pretentious sounding (but you may like that), Cordy as a nn is awful. For some reason it makes me think of umbilical cord... In summary, go with Cordelia, no nn.

They are very different styles of names...
Cordelia, sounds quite posh to me. Along the lines of Ottilie and Ophelia.

I prefer Robin, spelt with an 'i'.

The middle name will be my mum's name, so having one as the middle name isn't an option sadly.

Depending on your political leanings, you could combine both names and go for Corbyn Grin

I like Cordelia but it seems more like a fantasy/fictional type name to me than one which actually gets used for real people. I'm sure there are some out there though. And Cordy is cute.
