Who used these names?

Arthur
Samuel
John
Jack
Jake
Robin
Benjamin
Robert
Rowan
Harry

Please be honest and feel free to stereotype and be as unPC as you like (as that is kind of the point..)

Thank you

I have 3 DS's. All of their names are on that list...as is the name of soon to be number 4! Grin

Ordinary. Mainly middle class, although all could be above or below middle class. Very versatile names. With the exception of Rowan possibly.

bolleauxnouveau · 17/10/2015 15:34

That they had a lot of children, unless all those names belong to one child then I'd assume they were demented.

Nice ordinary names that I've heard a lot round here. I wonder if we should call names 'labels' as they're so often used to categorise people.

Hassled · 17/10/2015 15:28

Nice solid names. Nothing wacky or mis-spelt or dodgy. All very English.

Spidertracker · 17/10/2015 15:26

My son's name is on the list. We wouldn't have considered any of the others so don't think I can comment on them as a whole I don't think they all appeal to any particular group.

poocatcherchampion · 17/10/2015 15:25

Sorry can't type. Puffy fingers.

poocatcherchampion · 17/10/2015 15:25

Many are one my list so.....

And we haven't decided on a name yet so if anyone wants to chuck some similar ones in please do. Just say "it reminds me of..." So op doesn't realise

I absolutely agree NickNack, but many (most?) people do it anyway. Just interested to hear what people think.

Just ordinary people I'd say. Middle class-ish, whatever that is. Apart from Rowan which is a bit happy clappy.

NickNackNooToYou · 17/10/2015 15:19

Never make assumptions, they are generally wrong Wink
