'Masculine' girls names?

Posting for my pregnant best friend. She is expecting a girl and really likes 'masculine' girls names (like Alex or Sydney nn Sid) but we're struggling to come up with many.

What masculine girls names are there? Including nick names?

oh and how did I forget Andi! Its been one of my favourites for as long as I can remember but I'm really not keen on either Andrea or Miranda and not sure what else it could be short for.

I know a little Helena who goes by Leni (said like Lenny) and I adore it. Parents hadn't planned on it as a NN but she's such a little tomboy and it suits her down to the ground! I also prefer strong girls names. Personal faves are Bronwyn, Ronnie, Slex, Eddie, Robyn, Ryan, Reese

I love Lenny/Leni and Ronnie too. Both names of great singers - Lenny Kuhr and Ronnie Spector (born Veronica Bennet).
You could also get Ronnie from the Hebrew name Ronit (meaning 'song').
You could squeeze Lenny or Leni out of Magdalene or Madeleine.

I also like Ray and Toni for girls (Toni is another singer's name).

Jodie originally from the name Judith.
In the bible Judith was an exceptionally beautiful woman who used her intelligence in order to win the trust of a fearsome warrior that had waged war on her people bringing them to their knees.
She used her beauty to seduce him and even though surrounded by his army she killed him.
Essentially she saves her people and becomes a hero.

Her father was convinced she was a boy and wanted a boy. They chose the name Barrie and stuck with it when it turned out she wasn't a boy! Her middle name is Clare but her father insisted she be known as Barrie!

Who would call their son Barrie, never mind their daughter?

I started watching Pretty Little Liars yesterday and there is a girl in that called Spencer. I really like that for a girl :)

Three of the coolest (and most beautiful) women I have known were called Claude, Xaviere and Robin. Love all those names but dh vetoed them.

I have Bernadette which I think is gorgeous (obviously) but that can be shortened to Bernie, which is quite masculine. (My mum is Bernie)

That last post of mine didn't make sense - I meant of course -
There are many many names that are not particularly feminine names - Megan, Imogen, Helen, Joanne etc .Some would describe them as 'strong' names but to me they are names that if said aloud and were unfamiliar, one wouldn't necessarily know if they were male or female.
