Need to register my daughter tomorrow - votes needed please!

I posted a while back asking for name suggestions for a sister for Daniel.

We've now narrowed it down to the following:

Kaitlyn Ann H
Hannah Eloise H

(Surname starts with H).

Please let me know which you prefer.

The girls at our son's crèche voted 5-4 to Hannah.

I'm interested to know how the Munsnet jury voted!

Either way she needs to be registered TOMORROW!

but do you remember that dreadful Hannah and Dan in this?

Kaitlyn just looks like a spelling mistake, sorry.

After some last minute second thoughts and doubts... We decided to go for Hannah Eloise.

I was the one who originally picked Kaitlyn but then I went off it... In the end my husband liked Hannah but I started to think I preferred Kaitlyn again.

What swung it for me was that my husband was going to shorten the name to Katie and I really didn't like that.

I would've quite liked Eloise as a first name but that was vetoed. So Hannag it is! I just really hope I don't end up with name regret!!

I don't think the Kaitlyn spelling matters if the name is going to be pronounced Kate-lyn even if it's spelled the correct Irish way.

It should have two fadas anyway, one on the A and one on the last I, to be authentically Irish.

Hannah wins my vote.

I love both but I know a Kaitlyn who is known as 'Kait'/Kate...not sure if that bothers you or not.

Harris was the surname that sprung to my mind Archbishop and I actually think Hannah Harris sounds lovely.

Caitlin Eloise would be my first choice, followed by Hannah Caitlin. The alternative Kaitlyn spelling is odd to me, and Ann for her middle name is a bit plain. Anna is nicer.

(It does depend on the Ha surname though - Hannah Harris is a bit much, Hannah Hall works well.)

Eloise definitely. Classy & a little unusual. Kaitlyn is very overused around here and I've always found Hannah a bit meh. Anna is nicer but Eloise is nicer still.

job my d's has a friend called Eloise and it's pronounced. EL - LOUISE - if that makes sense!! Grin

I don't like Kaitlyn. I like Hannah. I have no idea how Eloise is pronounced though! It's driving me crazy trying to work it out.

I see no issue with the initials HEH. Most children at school don't forensically examine their school mates names like I think sometimes parents think they do. (I'm not getting at anyone here. I did this when naming my dd too!)

Hannah Eloise is a bit of a tongue twister to me, but both are lovely names.

The initials spelling HEH is a total non-issue.
