A brother for Artemisia

Originally it was going to be Lucian...yep we are those parents. But we got cold feet and decided it was too wanky even for us. (I love Lucian to any Lucian owners, but we thought in combination with Artemisia, it was a bit...hmm)

So then, after much discussion, the only name we could agree on, was Milo. But we have now come across, not one, not two, but THREE dogs called Milo. Apparently it is in the top ten dog names in the UK. This has... put us off. And we don't like Miles.

Names I like, which DH has roundly rejected:

Tobias
Marcus
Sebastian
Casper
Silas
Felix

Anyone got any good suggestions, before we name our son this generation's equivalent of Rex?

I am 39+6 and getting a bit worried that we seem to have NO candidates. DH has been totally unable to come up with any suggestions.

Can I add Nigel and Wayne into the mix?

Seriously though it should be Jago

Barry Colin Trevor Pop is here! Born at 2.44am weighing.....11lb!! At home. My sofa will never be the same. And no wonder I thought...'second babies are easier?? Hmm ' Not when they're that massive. The midwives were a bit stunned. So were I and DH.

You lot are the first ones to know as it's too early to start ringing round and I had to tell someone. Grin

Name still TBD but I'll come back and tell you.

Years ago there was a Private Eye Christmas cover. Think Renaissance nativity. Various people commenting. Eg " she's not married y' know" " but they're in a stable relationship". Best was " I think Kevin's a nice name".

So breathe in " Trevor" . Breathe out " Barry". Breathe in " Kevin". Breathe out "Keith". Breathe in " Hayden". Breathe out"Dwayne".

We are with you.

PallasCat · 01/10/2015 17:40

Best of luck, Ediepop!

All the best, ediepop! Hope it's all going well.

Looking forward to finding out your decision.

daisydalrymple · 01/10/2015 14:33

Ooh how exciting, hope all is progressing quickly and pain free Grin

JasperDamerel · 01/10/2015 12:35

If you call him Bartolome (with an accent which I don't know how to do on this keyboard) after Murillo, then you keep with a Baroque artists theme AND we get to call him Barry.

HellKitty · 01/10/2015 11:56

Trevor! Grin

nicknamenoname · 01/10/2015 11:35

Barack Obama used to be called Barry, so how about Barack? Or possibly Barrington? Otherwise Trevelyan is a fabulous name. Shortened to Trevor.

sleepyelectricsheep · 01/10/2015 11:30

Good luck ediepop, I hope all goes well Flowers

JasperDamerel · 01/10/2015 11:19

What about Eden?

MerryMarigold · 01/10/2015 09:54

Grin at Barry Colin...or maybe Barry Ptarmigan. Good luck with the birth. C sections are heaven! I say this having done it both ways.

NationMcKinley · 01/10/2015 09:53

"Barry is a nice name for a baby"
