Henry as brother for Harry?

I know Harry is traditionally a nickname for Henry, but we have a Harry and wondering if naming a brother Henry would be daft... any other suggestions welcome - really wanted a not-weird name, but also not in top 20 names list.

How odd, like a William and Liam, or Euan and Owen, exactly the same name! Sorry op, it wouldn't work, and probably cause much confusion.

Not 20 names...

Marcus
Joseph
Micheal
Evan

Difficult to establish what 'type' of names you like, apart from 'Ha' sounding (pp did say Harvey).

Mrsindecision · 13/09/2015 10:11

Definitely no to Harrison!
Another possible:

Edward

Good luck!

NickNacks · 13/09/2015 10:09

I'm not sure suggesting Harrison is any better!

Mrsindecision · 13/09/2015 10:07

Definitely a No-No! Both also very popular.

If you want a less used classic, how about:

Robert
David
John/Jonty
Christopher/Kit
Andrew
Matthew
Anthony

Good luck in choosing!

They are the same name. Also, Henry is in the top 20 names (#15).

madasabadger · 13/09/2015 00:35

Ha! Glad I asked - that would be a no then! Not looking for a name with an H - just quite like Henry. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for quick comments Smile

Definitely not. I'd think you were bonkers.

FelixCited1 · 13/09/2015 00:20

I've taught a set of twins named Henry and Harry.Apart from amything else, I felt the names were too similar.

RiaOverTheRainbow · 13/09/2015 00:16

Even ignoring that they're related they sound too similar. Easy to confuse which ds you're calling to.

horsewalksintoabar · 13/09/2015 00:15

That's totally silly OP. Daft indeed. Goodness me.

Wearyheadedlady · 13/09/2015 00:15

very silly indeed. and confusing...

Is it another H you're after? Is your Harry a Harold? I don't know if I actually like many of these (below) but here are lots of other H boy names

Herbert
Hubert
Harrison
Hugo
Hector
Harvey
Holden
Howard

the list goes on...

quicklydecides · 13/09/2015 00:12

They are the same name.

TheBeautifulAndTheDamned · 13/09/2015 00:10

Rather odd I would have thought.

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 13/09/2015 00:09

Yes, daft. Like having a William and a Billy, or a Katherine and Kathy.
