Lara, Eden or Imogen

Due in a few weeks (popularity of a name doesn't put off at all as I have a fairly obscure name)

Lara, Eden or Imogen (nn Immy)

I love Eden and I've heard of both boys and girls being named it but it seems lovely as a girlie name to me.
Not so keen on Lara or Imogen.

Eden is a wonderful name and top of my girls' list, too.

I really like Eden.

Imogen is very popular.
Lara reminds me of Lara croft and seems another variant of the thousands of Laura's, Lauren's, Lornas.

Definitely Lara, it's lovely. I've never liked the name Imogen for some reason and Eden is okay but nowhere near as nice as Lara.

Could rule out Eden, still not convinced about Imogen- how does Lara rate against Emmeline?

I love Eden

but it is along the lines of Ocean, India and River so if thats not your bag.

Second choice Lara

Imogen is on my list of least fave names

I like Lara best.

You can't move for baby Imogens round here. I wouldn't worry too much about a nickname, especially when Immy is a bit naff.

I really don't like the name Imogen, it sounds fussy and prissy to me (Sorry, Imogens out there).

Eden meh, bit overly religious American sounding imo.

Lara is the best of the bunch by far.

Imogen gets my vote, it's my daughters name she is imogen evangeline and its suits her beautifully. We shortened it to Immi but when she started school she requested we didn't as her best friend is Amy and she felt they sounded too alike.

No, as far as negative comments go it usually gets tagged common, or the other 'c' word.

I dislike that one too. Lara or Imogen fine

I really like Eden. I know three girls of 6 to 9 called Eden, and one man, who must be 50.
It seems to be becoming recognised as a girls name.

Lara is so similar to all the Lyra, Lola, Layla names that are so popular now. And Imogen is a bit harsh sounding.

Lara :) my friend has a dd Eden and when I mention her to others, she is quite often pressumed a boy

Definitely Lara, it's beautiful.

Don't like Imogen, and dislike Eden due to the religious connotations (Garden of Eden etc.)

I quite like Lara. I think Eden is maybe a bit trendy/faddy and will date.

I don't like Lara because of Lara Croft. Imogen is too popular and Eden is too unusual for my tastes. I guess Imogen if you don't mind a popular name and Eden if you want an unusual name that will raise eyebrows.

I know of four Edens, strangely. Two are stroppy teenage girls, and two are volatile teenage boys, which puts me off the name enormously. And it was a very pongy perfume back in the 90s.

Lara is beautiful, simple and quite classic, and Imogen has always been a favourite name of mine. Both are winners, I reckon.
