I like this, as I also like Archer but I used to drink a lot of Archers and cant shake it off...

I like it. It is cool and quirky, but is still a 'proper' name. I don't think it 'matches' Georgina but I don't think that matters at all.

Hmm, the Game Of Thrones character is Asha, and that's only in the book. Her name has been changed to Yara in the TV series.

Personally I'm familiar with Asher as a Biblical male name. I like it, and it's quite uncommon.

Agree that siblings' names shouldn't matter.

It's ok. Also makes me think of the biblical story. Doesn't really matter if it "goes" or not with Georgina, they won't always been known as siblings!

Makes me think of the Christian bakery chain in Northern Ireland that was in the news recently - hadn't realised it was a biblical name & assumed it was their family surname Blush

I love the name (it's what we chose for our lovely DS). It means "happy, blessed". It is unusual, clearly Hebrew / Biblical, but completely manageable for English-speakers, unlike, say Yoel or Nechama (the latter is a girl's name). I agree that it's an unusual choice next to Georgina.

To me Georgina sounds very British and Asher sounds more exotic.
