Hi all,

This is our current short list (or long list) please could you let me know thoughts but be nice! Lol

Ace
Blake
Albert
Avery
Fearon
Joel
Aubrey
Colby
Chase

We are really struggling as we like them all but also worried about them for different reasons. Would love to know top 3 please and any suggestions based on what we like so far?

Isn't Avery in Charlotte's Web?

I like Joel,
Aubrey,
Avery if it is he...

Like Bertie not Albert. Prefer Bertram.

StevieJo · 10/08/2015 23:30

Blake, Colby and Chase

marinacortina · 10/08/2015 22:07

My friend has a Jared (grown up now), we always called him Jazz

VixxFace · 10/08/2015 21:31

Blake
ace
chase

That order

Marcipex · 10/08/2015 21:14

I like Blake and Joel
Avery is too like Ava for me, sounds rather girly.

I presume Chase will be a very naughty little boy. It sounds very mischievous .

I would like Fearon if it didn't begin with Fear.

Thanks so much everyone, we have at least one vote for each now - top 5 voted by you guys is:

Joel
Albert
Blake
Aubrey
Chase

Thanks meatballs, some great names there! Not keen on Finnian and Corin/Corben have trouble with our surname. Jude I love but DH vetoed and Ashton was on our original list but we didn't like it enough to make top choice!

Aw love Rufus Skeppers! It's the name of our dog, I love the name! I can't believe anyone would dislike Rufus!

Oh, Ace and Avery are also decent.

I really hate Albert though!

SmugairleRoin · 10/08/2015 20:41

Joel or Blake imo are nicest.

Would you consider Jared, Cooper, Ezra or Fletcher op?

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 10/08/2015 20:10

Ace Blake and Albert, to me are just the nicest out or a bad bunch

Cloggal · 10/08/2015 20:06

Avery but definitely for a girl (Grey's Anatomy!)

Joel
Albert
Blake

Blueberrybaby · 10/08/2015 20:06

Love Avery, but I'm used to hearing it as a girls name, so although it is traditionally a boys name,I can't get past the fact that in recent decades it has switched over.

Ikeameatballs · 10/08/2015 20:02

Albert

Other ideas:

Flynn
Finnian
Corin
Corben
Jude
Vaughan
Ashton
Ramsay

sweetpeame · 10/08/2015 19:57

The only two I think are alright are Albert but only if you use nn Albie and (weirdly for me) Blake (i usually hate surnames as first names). Not keen on the rest, they sound very American or vaguely ridiculous. IMO Fearon is the worst, it sounds like "fearing".

Skeppers · 10/08/2015 19:48

It means 'I don't give a fuck'! Grin

And the name is Rufus. Smile

Ladypug · 10/08/2015 19:43

IDGAF not IFFAF lol

OP posts:
Ladypug · 10/08/2015 19:43

Ps just worked out what IFGAF stands for! Lol

OP posts:
Ladypug · 10/08/2015 19:43

Thanks Skeppers! Yay a vote for Avery :-) what was your name out of interest?

OP posts:
Skeppers · 10/08/2015 19:34

Avery, Blake and Chase.

I like them! We get a lot of stick for our chosen name but IDGAF! We didn't even ask opinions, just went with or gut. Like you, I just can't get excited about the standard Charlie, Oliver, Ethan type names that are ten-a-penny at the moment.

Ladypug · 10/08/2015 19:33

Ah thank you, not sure about Hendrix, I feel like that's a bit too crazy, even for us!

OP posts:
LovelyBranches · 10/08/2015 19:32

What about Hendrix?

LovelyBranches · 10/08/2015 19:30

I know a Chase and it doesn't suit him at all. It's the bottom of my list sorry.

Ladypug · 10/08/2015 19:12

Thanks everyone! Lol yes quite diverse taste! Some are DHs favourites and some are my faves but we both like all of them. I have tested them all written and out loud, the only one that might not work out loud with our surname is Blake. I thought about the aviary thing but it doesn't really bother me! God it's really hard - you guys have voted top 3 as Joel then Albert then Blake with Aubrey a close fourth!
