Are these girl's names too strange?

I've not discussed names with the other half yet - he's from the UK, I'm not (European/Israeli roots). I'm looking for a name I could use on the continent as well as here. I have a feeling my taste in names is a little too weird for the UK though :) Would really appreciate it if you could have a look at my 'long list' and let me know if they'd be too out-there! Which are your favourites?

Yuna from Final Fantasy? I actually really like this name too. I have a soft spot for video game characters; Kairi is another nice one.

Euna is married to a Dutch man Grin Not sure if she has issues with his family and pronunciation, although she certainly does in Starbucks!

Thank you for suggesting Euna -- it's a good idea, but it would cause some difficulty in Netherlands/Belgium with the pronounciation.

I hadn't considered Delta Airlines - good point.

I think there are some lovely names on your list OP.

Tirza made me think of Ben Hur's sister. Such a beautiful name Smile

I thought about Tirzah for my DD (after a daughter of Zelophedad!) but my DH said no. Still love it.

Love Yara and Celeste too.

Really don't like Delta, makes me think of the airline.

I love all your choices - celeste and Indra stand out for me, they're beautiful. As it happens, I live in Scotland and have a dear friend named Euna (pronounced You-na, which I imagine is similar to your Yuna?) - it's a traditional Scottish name but uncommon, if you follow me. And to my knowledge has never, ever been referred to as Tuna!

It's interesting how Elisheva seems to be the favourite choice... certainly never expected that :)

I love Elisheva, and also Tirza (and the variation Thirza). Indra is nice too.

Orla is the standard modern Irish spelling -- I would avoid it if you are going to be living in continental Europe as the R won't be pronounced properly (it doesn't get pronounced properly in non rhotic English accents either).
Another here who dislikes Imogen.
Delta is too alpha beta gamma - technical or nautical..
Celeste reminds me of one of the Babar elephants.
Yuna and Yara would be odd for Europe. (Plus Yuna-Tuna..)
Ophelia would be fine in Europe but a little difficult in the UK.

I like them all, Celeste possibly least, Elisheva best. I don't see an spelling or pronunciation issue with Elisheva... even though I've never heard it before, I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

I love Elisheva. Don't like Yuna or Tirza but the others are also nice.

Ophelia will be the butt of 'I feel your' jokes at some point.

Orla is popular as an anglicisation of the Irish Orlaith.

Yara sounds like an Australian term to me, though not sure for what.

But really, there are plenty of unusual names around, these are not the most unusual most people will have come across.

Not to keen on Yuna, Yara or Delta but I like all the others. Elisheva is probably my favourite. I actually know someone called Tirza Smile

As for Yuna, all I am hearing in my head is "You now!" sort of slurred together...it's an alright name but I really can't shake that association.

Elisheva v unusual but I do like it.

I really hate the name Imogen, I don't know why. The sound just irritates me.

Orla, Yara and Delta are lovely imo. Celeste too but I'd be less likely to pick it.

I like Imogen, Orla and Una rather than Yuna.

Ophelia seems a bit prententious to me and not keen on Celeste (pill?). Isn't Indra a god?

Elisheva is lovely and unusual.
