What do you think about this name?

Lovely - if it gets shortened to Izzy, though, everyone will assume she is an Isobel (lots of those around at the moment)

Laliberty · 31/07/2015 00:25

I love it - it's currently on my shortlist.

reuset · 30/07/2015 23:42

Was Rentaghost any better

reuset · 30/07/2015 23:42

Ah, Wizadora!

90s, not 80s.

School governess type, educating by stealth, and posing as a wizard? (sorry, I watched two mins of the clip, somebody else most be able to sum up better) I don't think I would have watched it!

reuset · 30/07/2015 23:37

Wizardora - 80s TV got to be! Sounds of that ilk Rentaghost and others.

BlueBananas · 30/07/2015 23:18

Never heard of Wizadora (is it a tv program?)
But think Isadora is beautiful

Churchillian · 30/07/2015 23:12

Isn't Bjork's daughter called Isadora?

Sophronia · 30/07/2015 23:05

I prefer Isidora, which is the original spelling.

HolidayHeidi · 30/07/2015 21:52

Makes me think of isadora Duncan but for what she brought to ballet as opposed to her tragic end. I like it....I think.

IsadoraQuagmire · 30/07/2015 21:47

I thought everyone would know all about Isadora Duncan (and, of course, that's why Lemony Snicket's Quagmire Triplets are named Isadora and Duncan)
Never heard of Wizardora however...

...

villainousbroodmare · 30/07/2015 19:02

I like it. I know a v nice Isadore (male).

reuset · 30/07/2015 18:58

Duncan wouldn't put me off, though. Not many people nowadays can be aware of her or her tragic life (she lost her children in a freak accident before that etc) or her contribution to modern dance

reuset · 30/07/2015 18:55

It's ok, but I'm not wild about it. And I know it's from a proper name but it always looks messy and cobbled together like an historic building with later additions and alterations.

sweetpeame · 30/07/2015 18:47

Like the "Isa" part but not the "Dora", so it's a no from me. Starts off pretty but ends badly!

Marcipex · 30/07/2015 18:29

Lovely name.

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 30/07/2015 18:25

I love it.nearly used it for Dd.

aoife24 · 30/07/2015 18:23

I think it's lovely. I've never heard of Wizadora.

Oddpet · 30/07/2015 18:20

Yep Wizadora here too, nn Dora the explorer?! Sorry I can't get past those associations Blush

Dismalfuckers · 30/07/2015 17:59

Beautiful, but a lot of pressure - got to be willowy and graceful, with a perfect profile Smile

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 30/07/2015 17:57

Awful sorry.

CityDweller · 30/07/2015 17:36

Makes me think of someone saying 'it's-a-door-a' in a fake Italian accent!

Lunastarfish · 30/07/2015 17:31

It's a pretty name but again I now have the Wizadora song stuck in my head....

Letsallgotobed · 30/07/2015 17:29

Makes me wonder when Tatty Bogle will be popping in

HelenF35 · 30/07/2015 17:26

Wizadora for me also I'm afraid.

MamaLazarou · 30/07/2015 16:28

Isadora, we adore her! Sorry, it's Wizadora for me, too.
