I absolutely love the name Mirabelle, so much so I called my cat Mirabelle, as there were no babies on the horizon at the time! Its a gorgeous name, Miri as a nn is lovely.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 24/03/2017 19:31

I like it but I like myrtle too

BroomstickOfLove · 24/03/2017 19:28

I think it's lovely. If I had a daughter with that name, I'd probably call her Plum for short.

greeeen · 24/03/2017 19:25

It's ok but I also prefer Miriam

ArriettyClock1 · 23/03/2017 19:58

Hmm - it does sound like a B&B in Blackpool to me.

buttercup54321 · 23/03/2017 19:57

Miriam is better

mummytobemaybe · 23/03/2017 12:46

I don't like it, for some reason it reminds me of Mable

anon050 · 23/03/2017 12:31

Love it. It's on my list of baby names.

showmeislands · 23/03/2017 09:22

Don't like it I'm afraid. Sounds fussy/frilly to me and is also the name of a plum.

reuset · 22/03/2017 13:33

We called our daughter Mirabelle - everyone loves the name! You can do so much with it.

You felt the need to bump up a zombie thread just to tell us that, user Confused

I was about to comment, but see that I did...two years ago.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/03/2017 12:42

Mirabelle is a nice name, but I prefer Miriam.

We called our daughter Mirabelle - everyone loves the name! You can do so much with it. Miri, Bella, belle, mira. Very versatile.

mika2 · 27/07/2015 11:51

Ski resort also the first thing that came to mind...

ch1134 · 27/07/2015 11:43

For me it is in the same camp as 'Annabelle'. I'm not keen on these types of names as they sound like doll's names. But that's just me.

ReallyTired · 25/07/2015 22:49

Sorry I think the name might be Marybelle in that book.

ReallyTired · 25/07/2015 22:45

There is a Mirrabelle in "Five go to smugglers' top" by Enid blyton. I think it's a pretty name.

Pugthug · 25/07/2015 22:41

Nope not at all . It reminds me of too many things all at once. A ski resort, a caravan and name that would flow better if it you change the letters around.Sorry sets me edge that name.

Billynoname · 25/07/2015 22:37

No, sorry it's not. What about other similar ish names like Mariella, Miranda, Mireille?

sarahandemily · 25/07/2015 14:56

Not really sure about the name but wouldn't the default nn be Belle?

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 25/07/2015 14:37

It's not for me, personally. But do you really care whether the rest of us like it? If you love it then go for it.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 25/07/2015 14:27

It's beautifulSmile

Onemilliongal · 25/07/2015 14:24

Mirabel and maribel and mirabelle are all different, I agree they sound similar and might get confused but ......

Ok. Smashing. Thanks for the input.

Mumof3cherubs · 24/07/2015 15:06

I'd think ski resort too, I'm afraid.

chrome100 · 24/07/2015 15:00

I like it!
