To avoid all this confusion, I spelt my 17 year old DD's name as I wanted it to be pronounced... And she is Taya

Reallybadidea fee-a was what some kids at nursery ( brummies if that matters ) called her but they out grew it fast.

Theo would be Th-E-O or T-A-y-O. so Thea would be Th-E-a or T-A-ya.

I wonder if the Midlands folk know my eldest? ( she's grown up now a good 15 is years ahead of its current wave of popularity ) Am Midlands.

We've had the odd Taya but mostly from teachers of non uk origins - easily corrected.
