Girl or boy?

Middle name?

my son is named Eden.

he's almost ten and it was definitely considered a masculine name when I chose it.
apparently there are lots of younger girls now named Eden but to me it sounds more masculine.

I've only ever met one other Eden, a boy the same age as mine on the eurostar in 2009 Smile

I teach a boy called Eden...8 years old...Really suits him as he's beautiful.

FrChewieLouie · 19/07/2015 20:37

I know a lad called Eden; I like it.

AuntieStella · 19/07/2015 20:37

Boy.

Even though I know it's been used on girls as well since that 80s daytime soap, I like it the traditional way.

FenellaFellorick · 19/07/2015 20:11

It's my son's middle name.

SpamAnderson · 19/07/2015 20:06

We're expecting #3 and if he was a she, her name was going to be Eden :) I've seen it referred to as a boys name but to me it feels more like a girls name.

alovelycuppatea · 19/07/2015 08:20

I know a man in his 30's called Eden...but he actually prefers to go by his middle name which is....Gary...Shock

Treesandbees · 18/07/2015 07:22

I know 1 little girl called Eden. I love it and would like to call our DD it but DH vetoed it!

froggyjump · 13/07/2015 22:42

Ds1 used to have a female friend called Eden when they were at nursery/reception - she'll be 16 now.

littlejohnnydory · 13/07/2015 22:20

My good friend has a dd called Eden. I think of it as a strongly female name although I'm aware it can be used for either. I have met one other Eden, also a girl.

Woobeedoo · 13/07/2015 21:10

Eden is the name me and OH chose if we had a little girl although there is a boy with that name at DS's nursery. It's definitely a girls name for me though.

EmmaWoodlouse · 13/07/2015 20:40

I've never met an Eden but a friend has a goddaughter called Eden Savannah. I've heard of Eden Kane too, and I think it would make an equally good name for either sex, as it's so rare for either that it doesn't really seem to have become strongly associated with one or the other.

Dansak · 13/07/2015 20:37

I know a young boy called Eden and a baby girl Eden. I feel its more feminine.

Junosmum · 13/07/2015 20:34

MrsPeeee · 13/07/2015 17:26

I know a boy Eden but I think it's more feminine.

NadiaWadia · 13/07/2015 17:15

Sounds more feminine to me, though I know it can be used for boys too. A good name, nice sound and lovely meaning.

sweetpeame · 13/07/2015 15:59

To me it sounds very feminine so I definitely wouldn't use it for a boy. In actual fact I wouldn't use it for a girl either, I think it sounds quite faddy (even if it's not).

SingForBacon · 13/07/2015 15:20

I definitely see it as a boys name.

ems942 · 13/07/2015 15:18

Lovely- I know two girls aged 3/4 who are Eden

TwoLittleBlooms · 13/07/2015 12:01

Beautiful name, I would consider it a feminine name. Although, I have never come across it used for either.

reuset · 13/07/2015 11:58

Anthony (Eden) sprang to mind.

Nightclub name.

Facts: Unisex but used more for girls. I don't like it, personally.

Sophronia · 13/07/2015 11:43

I only one I know is a man in his twenties.

MamaLazarou · 13/07/2015 11:38

I know a girl called Eden but think it works as either.

NorbertDentressangle · 13/07/2015 11:37

sebsmummy1 · 13/07/2015 11:34
