Help! I'm 33 weeks and I'm hoping when baby arrives I'll know what the right name is, but some people have told me that doesn't always happen! I find my preference keeps changing :(

Which name do you like best?

Elizabeth
Charlotte
Rebecca

Funny how people on here associate Charlotte with the royals when out queen is Elizabeth!

Bexleymum · 15/07/2015 19:46

Our dd2 is Elizabeth Charlotte nn Libby. So Elizabeth gets my vote.

woodleydoodle · 15/07/2015 17:11

All nice names. I'd avoid Charlotte as lots of people would assume it was after the royal baby. I'm not a royalist. My favourite is Elizabeth, to be known as Eliza/Ella.

Cornberry · 15/07/2015 16:41

zennudist I think that's what we might do. I'm hoping the right name will be obvious when she appears! Appreciate all the comments. Have tallied them up and Elizabeth by far the most liked! Surprised at how many dislike Charlotte... I do worry about people assuming she was named after royal baby.

I LOVE Elizabeth - nn Libby, or Beth, Lizzie - plus it reminds me of Elizabeth Bennet and that is never a bad thing Grin

Silver45 · 15/07/2015 14:52

Charlotte, definitely.

ArtichokeTagine · 14/07/2015 23:16

Elizabeth by far the nicest. As others have pointed out it has so many great nicknames. I love Beth myself but also Eliza.

Treesandbees · 14/07/2015 18:12

Charlotte by a mile! Love Lottie as nn. The others are a bit dated for me.

ZenNudist · 14/07/2015 17:26

Charlotte is my favourite. Even like royal baby nn Lotte. I don't think Royal connection matters as it's so classic.

Also like the others you chose. Why not wait and see which suits your dd most?

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 14/07/2015 17:17

Definitely Elizabeth. Beautiful classy elegant yet still cute and pretty on a little girl plus there are plenty of nn she can choose from. Eliza, Libby, Liz, Lizzie, Beth, Liza Betty, Betsy. Elle Ellie Bess.
I quite like Charlotte but starting to become over used, if that bothers you.
I don't like Rebecca

bettysviolin · 14/07/2015 17:10

Elizabeth is lovely and has loads of choice for nicknames: Ellie, Liz, Lizzie, Beth, Bettie, Betsie, Eliza, Liza, Libby.

Charlotte is nice- can be Lotte or Lottie for short.

Less keen on Rebecca - the hard c is an ugly sound and I don't like the shortened versions of Becky or Becca.

afink · 14/07/2015 17:04

Elizabeth - by miles.

Runnaway · 14/07/2015 16:41

Rebecca

RiverTam · 14/07/2015 16:40

Elizabeth with a z. My middle name is Elisabeth and it's been a lifetime pain having to send documents back all the time because it's spelt wrong.

Moodyblue1 · 14/07/2015 16:36

Elizabeth is probably my fav with Rebecca a close second. Don't really like Charlotte at all.

Cheburashka · 14/07/2015 11:25

Elizabeth, Charlotte, Rebecca, in this order

Slothlorian · 14/07/2015 10:57

Rebecca

ThursdayLast · 14/07/2015 10:54

Elizabeth, loads of lovely nicknames to choose too!

Blondie87 · 14/07/2015 10:53

Elizabeth is lovely!

FlysInDreams · 14/07/2015 08:27

Rebecca as that is DTD2's name Smile

Unoriginalusername123 · 14/07/2015 08:00

Ooh, three fabulous choices. You can't go wrong.

My favourite is Charlotte as it's an all-time favourite. But if popularity is a factor then Rebecca is great.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 14/07/2015 03:19

Charlotte. On my shortlist but won't be using now because of the Princess

cocobean2805 · 14/07/2015 03:12

Elizabeth. Nn Ellie, Lizzie, Beth etc.
