What do you think when you hear the name Milo?

And yes, I'm expecting a few 'it's a dog' responses!

Just wondering what you all think of it? Considering it for DC2 arriving in a couple of weeks, DS1 has a 'grandad' type name.

Thanks!

My auntie's dog, tweenies, my friend's newborn boy Smile i do quite like it. Also like Miles (a la Crane).

StopShoutingAtYourBrother · 03/07/2015 19:32

..... And the moon kangaroo.... If you google it you'll see it's a children's book!

WhatKatyDidnt · 03/07/2015 19:28

The tweenies

Floralnomad · 03/07/2015 19:08
  1. Tweenies
  2. Dogs name
  3. Awful badly behaved child that was in our cub group .
SirChenjin · 03/07/2015 19:07

My friend's cat or the dog from the Tweenies - which is a shame, because I really like the name.

MrsAukerman · 03/07/2015 19:07

My son.
Gorgeous 7 month old.

There's 3 in our district (that I'm aware of).

BathshebaDarkstone · 03/07/2015 19:07

Tweenies!

ScrambledEggAndToast · 03/07/2015 19:06

A bit wet. It's one of those names that's 'cutsie' until the child is about 10. However, you are naming someone for life, you have to think what it will be like for them in later life having a name like that.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 03/07/2015 18:40

My friend's lovely little boy.

wheresthedummy · 03/07/2015 18:36

My three year old is called Milo. I'd never heard of the Tweenies until after we named him, but apart from the odd comment here and there most people aren't familiar with the programme. Never occurred to me that it was a dogs name either. We haven't met another Milo yet. I still love it.

StrawberryCheese · 03/07/2015 18:36

I think Edward is lovely, more my style but sadly vetoed by DH. Too royal he said Hmm

StrawberryCheese · 03/07/2015 18:34

Quirky. A friend has a son called Milo and their other two boys have 'M' names of a similar style. I like it.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 03/07/2015 18:34

Our other option is Edward / Ted

Tweenies, my friends dog.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 03/07/2015 18:32

Yes, was also expecting the Tweenies / drink responses too! Glad to see a few positive ones mixed in.....

NotActuallyAMum · 03/07/2015 18:29

Dog here too, the Jack Russell in The Mask

chrisrobin · 03/07/2015 18:29

Tweenies

Ludways · 03/07/2015 18:29

My boss's son. It's ok, lots less Tweenies comments now than there was when he was born 5 years ago.

eltsihT · 03/07/2015 18:29

It makes me think of a lovely little boy my son plays with. But when I first heard it, it made me think of chocolate milk (a bit like nesquick)

andyourlittledogtoo · 03/07/2015 18:28

Ugh. (sorry!)

MyFriendsCallMeOh · 03/07/2015 18:28

It's a huge chocolate milk / cereal brand in Asia, they sell Milo as part of happy meals in mcdonalds. My kids lived on Milo when we lived there, it will always be "Nesquick" in our house....
