I thought it was just American pronunciation. Every day is a school day! Ha!

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 26/06/2015 20:08

Yeah I guess it is more Ahna. Definitely not Anna though!

TinyManticore · 26/06/2015 19:45

It's more like Ah-na in Frozen than a proper R sound. But nobody in real life would pronounce Anna like that would they? Confused

mrspremise · 26/06/2015 19:42

Betty Lucy is the name of my fantasy DD Smile

We only seem to make boys here Grin

MissBananaMama · 26/06/2015 19:31

Googled and I'm Shock...

I genuinely only hear Anna. That has blown my mind. I don't hear an R

It's always arna in frozen. Sometimes with a bit of honour thrown in for good measure.
Let it go.
Redtoothbrush is spot on. There are millions of girls names out there (well, thousands). A bit of a guide on your preference would help.

What's your taste?

Are you a fit in type of person or do you like to rebel?
Do you like retro chic or timeless classic?
Do you want something of the time but a bit less common?
Do you want something that won't date and can't be placed to a few years?
Do you want trendy?
Do you want something with a natural theme?
Do you want something with a God theme?
Or a precious stone or colour theme?
Do you want to know what the hottest letters and sounds are?
Do you want to name them after someone to inspire your child?
Do you simply want something you like the sound of?
Do you want a particular meaning or type of meaning?
Do you want a name with particular roots (eg English, French, Latin, Hebrew, Biblical etc)
Do you want something that will travel well between cultures?
Do you want something to honour family members?

I think its easy for people to just shout lists of names at you until you see one that you might like a bit, but really it would be more helpful to know what you are vaguely looking for so people can offer suggestions that might be on the right track
