(Updated) Girls Shortlist: Pick Two

Shortlist
Nella (nn Nell)
Clementine
Diana
Lucie

And then there are some names that we are a bit iffy on: Celestine, Noemi, Zara

Feel free to comment suggestions and opinions on the names. DH suddenly loves Diana, but I'm not too sure about it. We already have two sons, Ezra and Sasha, and our last name starts with an F and is one syllable (which is why I would like her name to have at least 2 syllables).

Nell (don't like Nella though, sounds made-up) and Clementine.

CakeRattleandRoll · 17/06/2015 04:13

Favourites are Zara and Clementine. Although as PP suggested, Celeste is really beautiful, so I'd choose that if poss.

LettuceLaughton · 16/06/2015 22:09

Ah, it seems traditionally it's from Helen / Ellen / Eleanor. Still.

Cornelia would work really well too. As would Petronella.

LettuceLaughton · 16/06/2015 21:54

Nella looks and feels a bit off but Nell is great.
Isn't Helen(a) the name that Nell traditionally came from? That'd be lovely with your DS's (fab) names.

Cloggal · 16/06/2015 21:47

Nella great with your other names. Can I suggest Nuala? (In English it is basically Noo-la). Short for Fionnuala, it's Irish but I like...
I know of a little Della too.

Zara lovely but too like a mix of Ezra and Sasha.

JanuaryJuniper · 16/06/2015 21:43

Nella or Clementine go really well with your other dc names which are fab btw!!

Sophronia · 16/06/2015 21:30

Diana is my favourite.

applecatchers36 · 16/06/2015 21:06

Lucy and Naomi are nice names. Don't like the strange spellings of these names why would you spell them that way?

Not keen on the other girls names.

RiverTam · 16/06/2015 20:51

I love your boys names! But I don't think any of these really 'go' with them. Nella just isn't a name, the others I like especially Clementine and Lucie (love that spelling, I know a couple of Lucies) but they just don't go with the boys names.

CrispyFern · 16/06/2015 20:46

Dislike Nella. It looks silly.
I don't like the ie bit of Lucy there. If it was Lucy, I'd like it.
I don't like Diana. Clunky.
Clementine is Ok.

Celeste is much nicer then Celestine, which sounds a bit like intestine.
Noemi is great.
Zara is Ok.

So, I really like Lucy, Celeste, and Noemi.
Clementine and Zara, I would also accept.

formerlyofLadysmith · 16/06/2015 20:10

I love clementine. Please use it!

ashesandfire · 16/06/2015 18:27

I don't like Nella or Diana. Lucy is nice but I would spell like this. I think it's a bit plain Next to your ds names.
Zara too similar to Ezra imo.

Really like Clementine and Noemi, both lovely with Ezra and Sasha. I do prefer Naomi to Noemi though
