Names you don't like that are loved on here

Lighthearted!

Rowan always gets a positive response on here and is suggested a lot.

I don't like it. I think it looks feminine (I know it can go either way) and it makes me think of Mr Bean!

Fleur. This has such a horrible sound!

Genevieve. I think this looks like a disease!

Margaret. It seems to be loved on Mumsnet. It's a 50 year old ladies name to me.

I think there must be at least 20 names that people regularly rave about on here which I think are awful. But as a starter for ten:
Rowan/Rohan - really wet for either a boy or a girl
Ottilie - pretentious and too try hard
Luna - sounds like lunatic...
Any name that's a surname, again very try hard and a bit too American IMO

Interestingly I've never actually met any Rohan/Rowans, Lunas or Ottilies in real life...

Beatrice, Phillipa, romilly and seren. then the 'alt boys with an 'x' types' like rex, axel, dexter and jax.

I don't like surnames either. Harrison is suggested a lot on here, which surprises me.

Not sure whether they're liked on here or not but certainly IRL.
I hate all the popular over used names such as
Alfie
Charlie
Harry
I hate surname type names as well, such as Harrison Tyler Mason ect.
And if I hear the names Lily-Mae or Amelie much more. I swear I will scream.

So think many people - it gets suggested in nearly every thread about names for baby boys. I just really don't like it.

Sophie; stupidly-spelt Celtic names; Charlotte; anything uninspired like Benjamin.
