Edmonds Confused

SwedishEdith · 04/06/2015 21:56

Neither Edmonds or Gallagher are good associations - plus it's just a horrible name.

Getting drunk on sherry while delivering Christmas cards.

(Aunty Maureen and Uncle Noel were long family friends - Aunty Maureen grew up with my mum and aunties - and lived just down the road from my Best Aunty Ever. When delivering Christmas cards aged 12 I was given Far Too Much Sherry and it was lovely! On another occasion, Aunty Maureen got my then-95 year gran rolling drunk on Southern Comfort...that was HILARIOUS)

Several friends who all happen to be pleasant jolly farmers in their forties and fifties. Christmas babies. General positivity.

holdyourown · 04/06/2015 21:52

Christmas

SakuraSakura · 04/06/2015 21:50

Christmas
Noel's House Party

mrsspooky · 04/06/2015 21:46

I really like it as it was my Grandads name so was one I considered. Lots of Noels that arent edmundy like Noel Mighty Boosh and Noel Fitzpatrick etc. And we have a friend called Noel whose very cool. Also Knowle Ruher from xfiles is a cool character and different way of spelling it. So Id say a good name all round!

iwouldgoouttonight · 04/06/2015 21:45

Fielding. Then about ten seconds later Edmunds. I like Leon though.

TheCowThatLaughs · 04/06/2015 21:42

Someone I used to know who was called Noel Pine

sebsmummy1 · 04/06/2015 21:39

Christmas and Edmunds.

dollysflop · 04/06/2015 21:37

The Mighty Boosh

AugustaGloop · 04/06/2015 21:34

After Gallagher I bizarrely think of Noel from hearsay, in case that puts your DH off!

Noel G has a son called Donovan I think. What about that?

HmmAnOxfordComma · 04/06/2015 21:29

Christmas.

Brindler · 04/06/2015 20:55

My DH!! (Yes christmas baby). He hates it. Bizarrely often gets lengthened to 'noely' by his friends (which I hate!). Has also once been confused for 'Mole' when asked his name. He also bears a very slight resemblance to Noel from Hearsay (remember them??!!). Thank god for him they didn't stick around for long.... (Although we did once bump into him on a beach in Jersey. That was weird...!)

bippityboppitypoo · 04/06/2015 20:52

Edmonds

PeppermintCrayon · 04/06/2015 20:44

HOW have I never noticed that before...

pinkje · 04/06/2015 20:43

Leon back-to-front

StayGoldPonyBoy · 04/06/2015 20:42

Gallagher, but I can't help but read it as No-Elle like Christmas.

PeppermintCrayon · 04/06/2015 20:42

I think of The Mighty Boosh and Pretty Little Liars. It's a great name though...

TeacupDrama · 04/06/2015 20:41

OverAndAbove · 04/06/2015 20:39

"Born is the King of Israel!"

singersgirl · 04/06/2015 20:39

Noel Coward.
Noel Streatfeild.
Noel Gallagher.
Noel Edmonds.
Christmas.

museumum · 04/06/2015 20:37
