I like it. Serenity is a good name. Inspector Morse was called Endeavour. I've known girls called Prudence. And Grace, of course.

Serenity is a lovely thing to wish for your child, and a lovely name.

I like it but think I agree that it's a bit of a mouthful for every day use. So i guess it depends on if you like a shortened version. I'm not a fan of Serena myself.

Like Serena (reminds me of gossip girl) also Seren but not so much as bit welsh and I'm English.

I will never forget hearing a woman shouting irritably at her kid in Bromley shopping centre " Serenity, will you shut the fack up". I had to go round the corner to laugh so she couldn't see me. I am so not serene, it would be asking to be that woman. I would also rule out: Patience ("Patience, wait! WAIT!") Joy ("stop whinging Joy") and Amity ("Will you leave each other ALONE...!)

I like the idea of it, being a Firefly fan. But I heard it being shouted at a toddler at soft play yesterday and it sounded awful in real life. So no, sadly I think it's less useable than I would have initially considered.

My friend's child is called serenity, it sounds a mouth ful tbh. But I never want to shorten it, as she doesn't.

I prefer seren.

But it's not a ridiculous name.

I don't like it at all, sorry. However I have a Felicity (a very happy, smiley one Smile) so have against virtue names, I just don't like the word. I like Seren although think it's very popular in Wales. Serena is ok.
