What's the most unusual name?

Just that really our LIttle girl has a really unusual name, so much so you would struggle to find someone else with the name. I also have an unusual name and would like something completely different for our new addition who too is a girl.
What's the most unusual girls name you have heard or can suggest?

we have a Talia in our family and since she was named I have net several others.

Tirzah is pretty (old testament name)

I know a Talia, a Zinnia, a Persephone and a couple of Lylas. Came across a Sequoia once. Also know a very beautiful Hepzibah. DS has a friend called Ocean and DD is friends with an Oceania.
How do you pronounce Antigone? Is it Ant-ig-on-ee?

I know two Talia's, one is from a Jewish family one is half Lebanese they both have long long dark hair and are stunning! I'd have to know my dd would have that 'look' otherwise it would be 'wrong' to me!

Otherwise watch episodes of the rather bizarre tv show 'Toddlers and Tiaras'. Some names I've seen on there (girls) are: Jaigen, Damitriana, Alaska, Kragen, Queen, Makinly

It's sad that "Jonquil" is being semi mocked. I think it's a lovely name (it means daffodil in french).

The only problem is with pronunciation - it sounds much nicer as "jeon-kee" (like the french say it) than it does as "John-quill".....

Also, please never, ever under any circumstances (unless you are Greek and live in Greece I guess) call a child "Antigone". You know the "Oedipus complex"? Well "Antigone complex" is also a thing.

The Scottish stats give you every name not just 3 and above

Unfortunately I don't think they are included in the UK statistics - the minimum is three, as far as I recall.

You can download the baby name statistics for any given year and at the bottom of the list are the least popular names, which were each given to only one or two babies in that year. That might be good for inspiration?

Some of these names are fab, I absolutely love love love Zia have already mentioned to DH but he's not keen.
There's only one of my name an daughter that I know of so far so not much chance of either of us meeting another. I'm not so fussed it has to be 'exclusive' but do like something a bit different that is individual to the person. You guys have come up with some fab ideas gonna run them past DH now x

Yvaine was indeed used as if it meant Morning Star in a novel. But it's probably the female form of Yvain, a male name which is a version of Eugene, which is Greek and means 'well-born'. Or else it's based on a Celtic name (various versions) that means 'young man'.
