Wanted: girls name. Must be fabulous.

Why am I pregnant again ffs? Stupid Catholic upbringing. My body will an unsalvageable wreck and we will be living in penury for the next two decades.

Anyway. Need a girls name. I am utterly devoid of inspiration, being interested only in grab bags of Skips and having naps.

Already have an Agnes and an Enid. Surname Stephens.

Dislike: frilliness; 'ah' endings; 'classic' names.

Like: fabulous names. I was keen on Ramona the last go-round, but think I might have lost my love for it.

Any suggestions?

Romola (as in the actress, Romola Garai). Can be shortened to Romy.

Loving this thread , not keen on Vera I am afraid but love Cora or what about Hilda , my GM was Hilda Florence and her sisters were Phyllis , Edna, and Eileen or what about Blanche for a real thirties vibe .

Rita is one the many pet names for Margaret/Margeurite/Marguerita. Rita Hayworth was a Marguerita.

Yup. They're housemaids who are going to come out of the war a good deal richer and less innocent than they went into it ...

my Grandma was called Vera and she was extremely fabulous! So id defo vote for that!
